Era is an eccentric, pseudo-astrologer and an Instagram influencer. She is found dead in her flat in a high-rise building. The suspects are Era’s husband, Rahul, her house-help, Chotu, and the nosy neighbor, Mrs. Basanti. Two newly-joined, incompetent young police constables, Balram and Zubeida, are compelled to investigate Era’s murder. It’s a perfect, simple setup for a whodunit murder mystery… except that this film takes place in a world far from our own.

‘DDFD’ is an abstract, surreal, and comical presentation of the whodunit murder mystery. In this world, a goat gets hit on the head and turns into a stuffed toy. A man has telekinetic powers. The murder victim comes back to life and watches the police investigate her own death. The police become part of the stories narrated by the suspects. A glant eclipse occurs right outside the window. A man from another planet observes the murder mystery unfold.
